It’s week #4 of the high school football season and all local teams are involved in league play. There are some big matchups this friday.
Join us for Talkin’ Football on Prep Talk Eugene as we review all the big games from last week, including the crazy finish of Churchill’s overtime 48-49 loss at Ashland, Sheldon’s 35-8 win at West Salem, Thurston’s two overtime 48-42 win over North Eugene and Cottage Grove’s dramatic game winning 26-yard field goal with less than a minute to play to give the Lions a 24-21 win over Scappoose.
We have some post game audio with Cottage Grove coach Gary Roberts who talks about the great hold on a bad snap for the game winning field goal. In case you have not seen it, we have video and our play by play audio included of the game winning field goal by Erick Giffen here:
We have lively debate, discussion and analysis of all the results from last week and then preview the big games coming up this week.
As our guest this week, we have an interview with first year Churchill coach AJ Robinson who talks about his Lancer squad this year and the final play of the game when the Lancers went for two in overtime. We were able to track down video of the play. Check out the link here, it’s really close: http://www.hudl.com/v/jgC9s
We also have Stump Marvin Trivia in which we ask Marvin “What year did the Churchill Lancers last win the Midwestern League Football Championship?” Listen in for the answer and see if Marvin (and you) get it correct.
It’s all right here. Just click on the Soundcloud audio file below or download it for easy listening at your leisure. ENJOY!
